Precision CNC milling
for custom
components.
From a single prototype to low-volume runs, our 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers cut feature-rich geometries in 50+ metals and plastics — holding tolerances as tight as ±0.005mm without the markup of a local shop.
How the Process Works
What CNC milling actually does
Milling removes material starting with a solid blank to carve out a finished or semi-finished shape. The workpiece is clamped in a rigid vise on a work table that rotates and pivots, while cutting tools on a rotating spindle peel away material to form pockets, holes, contours and intricate 3D surfaces.
The real advantage of a multi-axis center — like our Haas UMC-750 — is that the table and spindle move on independent axes. That offers accuracy, repeatability and the versatility to finish a complex component in a single setup.
High precision
Tight tolerances with repeatable dimensional control across production runs, component after component.
Geometric versatility
Pockets, holes, contours, pockets-within-pockets — intricate features cut in one setup.
Material breadth
One workflow, fifty-plus materials — starting with soft aluminum to heat-resistant superalloys.
Automation-ready
Well-suited to lights-out and automated workflows that lift efficiency on repeat orders, supporting precision milling programs.
Process Capabilities
Three machine classes, one workflow

Affordable precision for simple components that still demand high dimensional control. The workhorse for brackets, housings, plates and flat components requiring straightforward geometry.
Adds a rotary table for multi-sided machining in a single fixturing. Fewer setups mean tighter feature-to-feature control and faster turnaround on intricate geometry like shafts and cam profiles.
Simultaneous 5-axis machining for turbine blades, impellers and intricate contours. Approach the part from any angle, finish in one setup, eliminate re-fixture error entirely.

Plastics
9 typesStrong overall mechanical properties with low-temperature impact resistance and dimensional stability.
Superior dimensional stability across temperature and humidity swings — critical for high-dimensional control components.
Heat and cold resistance from −180 to 260°C, virtually insoluble, resistant to acids and solvents.
Heat-resistant, impact-resistant and highly transparent when dried to under 0.02% moisture.
Known for clarity — the go-to glass substitute for windows, lenses and displays.
Low-cost, chemical-resistant and durable; common in tanks, pipes and industrial components.
Mechanical properties close to metal, with strong creep and fatigue resistance and self-lubrication.
Strong, wear-resistant, low density and elastic — the first synthetic fiber, still widely used.
Glass-fiber-and-resin laminate developed for aerospace: insulating, corrosion- and abrasion-resistant.
Tolerances
Holding the number on the drawing
We follow ISO 2768 (medium) for plastics and ISO 2768 (fine) for metals, and consistently hold CNC tolerances starting using ±0.005″ (±0.125mm) down to ±0.002″ (±0.05mm) across applications.
When a feature production goals tighter still, we work directly from your 2D technical drawings to hit the exact specification — so the component performs the way the design intends.
